Testing for dangerous small leakage currentsiseasy with the Simpson Model 229-2 Leakage Current Tester. Forusein appliance field service, in the lab, or in production, the229-2approximates the human threshold of perception indetectinghazardous AC leakage current. The 229-2 comes with testleads withalligator clips, manual and batteries.

  • Checks both 120VAC and 240VAC appliances,motorsａnd other equipment
  • Conforms to ANSI C101.1-1986 and ULsafetystandards
  • Overload protected up to 500V peak momentarilyonall ranges
  • Compensated to approximate Dalziel's thresholdofperception curve

  • Specifications

    Ranges: AC current: 0-0.3-1-3-10 mA

    AC voltage: 0-150 and 0-300 volts

    Battery Test: Replace-Good

    Short Test: Red Arc: 30 mA FS, Green arc: 10 mA or less
